The Rescue Diver Course is designed to develop your knowledge and necessary skills to effectively perform scuba diver rescues and administer and assist in the administration of necessary first aid. You will learn skills such as how to perform self rescues, buddy rescues, surface rescues and rescues from depth, recognize and calm potential panic divers, administer proper first aid to divers that have experienced dive related injuries, conduct effective search patterns and manage accident scenes. Most divers find this course both demanding and rewarding, and at the end, say it’s the best course they’ve ever taken. Prerequisites: • Open water certification. • Be trained and current for first aid and CPR within the previous two years. • Minimum Age, 12 years. What you will learn: • Self rescue • Recognizing and managing stress in other divers • Emergency management and equipment • Rescuing panicked divers • Rescuing unresponsive divers Equipment Required You use all the basic scuba gear along with first aid and rescue equipment.
