While taking your Open Water Diver course you learned the basics of how to control and use your buoyancy, now take our Peak Performance Buoyancy course and make scuba diving even more effortless and truly enjoy the freedom from gravity. Divers who’ve mastered the highest performance levels in buoyancy stand apart. You’ve seen them underwater. They glide effortlessly, use less air and ascend, descend or hover, almost as if by thought. They interact gently with aquatic life and affect their surroundings minimally. Prerequisites: Open water certification Minimum Age, 12 years. Dives you will make: You will make a total of two dives to complete this course. What you will learn: • How to trim your scuba gear so you’re perfectly balanced in the water • Nuances in determining weight so you’re not too light nor too heavy by even a slight degree • Breath control • How to streamline to save air and move smoothly through the water • How to hover effortlessly in both a vertical position and a horizontal position • Factors that affect buoyancy Equipment Required You use all the basic scuba gear.
