Many divers find that night diving is their favorite type of diving as a whole different set of sea life comes out at night. As with all specialty diving applications, procedures are different than those associated with Open Water Diving. The purpose of our Night Diver course is to acquaint the Open Water Scuba Diver with the procedures, techniques, and potential hazards associated with diving at night or in limited visibility. Prerequisites: Open water certification Minimum Age, 12 years. Dives you will make: You will make a total of two night dives. What you will learn: • Night dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and potential problems • How to control your buoyancy at night • Entries, exits and underwater navigation at night • Interacting with nocturnal aquatic life Equipment Required You use all the basic scuba gear including your underwater compass. The night dive will require a primary, backup and marker light. Learning Materials The course fee does not includes the textbook.
