You have already shown that scuba diving is the sport for you by completing your Open Water Scuba Diver certification, Advanced Scuba Diver certification and Rescue Diver certifications. You have logged a minimum of 50 dives and are now ready to take the next step. Gain the in-depth knowledge that will establish you as a recognized authority in your diving club or group and proudly carry the most coveted and respected certification card in recreational diving - that of Master Scuba Diver.

The Master Scuba Diver course is a continuing education certification course for divers who wish to increase their understanding and enjoyment of diving. This course is an excellent progression toward NAUI Leadership roles in diving.

Prerequisites:
Open Water, Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver certifications.
• Be trained and current for first aid and CPR within the previous two years.
• Minimum of 50 logged dives.
• Minimum Age, 15 years.

What you will learn:
Your classroom training will be a continuation of the material covered in the scuba diver and advanced scuba diver courses. Included are physics, physiology, medical aspects and fitness. Emphasis is placed on the applied aspects enabling the diver the perform skills and tasks involving buoyancy control, pressure changes, air consumption and personal limitations. Additional training is also received in the use and care of diving equipment, prevention, evaluation and treatment of diving risks and injuries along with advanced Rescue training. An indepth study of the diving environment is performed, along with additional training in underwater navigation, limited visibility diving search and recover and light salvage work.

During your training, you will engage in a minimum of eight open water dives including the following required dives:
• Emergency procedures and rescue
• Deep/simulated decompression diving
• Limited visibility or night diving
• Underwater navigation
• Search and recovery – light salvage

Equipment Required
You use all the basic scuba gear
