Our Dry Suit Diver course will open up a whole new world of diving to you. Unlike a wetsuit, a dry suit seals you off from the outside water and keeps you warm! Even in surprisingly cold water. Dry suits let you dive more challenging dive sites, and extend your dive season. When you have the right cold water scuba diving attire, you can stand up to the elements and take advantage of the generally better visibility offered by the winter months. Dry suits are also being used in tropical waters during the cooler months.
Prerequisites: Open water certification Minimum Age, 10 years. Dives you will make: You will make two dives to complete this course. What you will learn: • Selection of a dry suit • Care and maintenance • Emergency procedures • Safely don, doff and store a dry-suit • Proper weighting • Buoyancy control Equipment Required You use all the basic scuba gear and a dry suit (your own or one of our rental suits). Learning Materials The course fee does not includes the textbook. Scheduling Your Course Richmond Dive and Travel offers many scheduling and location options for your course.
