Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time and reduces your surface interval. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives. Prerequisites: Open water certification Minimum Age, 12 years Dives you will make: You will complete two open water dives to receive your Computer Nitrox Diver certification card. What you will learn: • Techniques for getting more dive time by using enriched air nitrox • The use of nitrox mixtures from 22 to 40 percent oxygen • Determine maximum depth limits for your nitrox mixture • Analyze your breathing mixture • The physiology of oxygen and nitrogen • Advantages, disadvantages, and risks of nitrox • Oxygen toxicity; hazards and precautions of handling oxygen • The concept of Equivalent Air Depth • Increased safety margins • Reduced post dive fatigue • Extended no-decompression times Equipment Required You use all the basic scuba gear along with a EAN (Enriched Air Nitrox) compatible dive computer.
