Any scuba dive site located 1000 feet above sea level or more is considered an altitude dive and requires special knowledge to safely explore. This specialty course will prepare you to safely dive high altitude locations.
Open water certification
Minimum Age, 12 years.
What you will learn:
You’ll learn the effects of pressure at higher altitudes and how to adjust your dive plan accordingly. Whether you use recreational dive tables or a dive computer, you’ll learn how plan and make a dive at high altitudes, including:
• Altitude dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards
• Planning procedures for diving at altitude
• Safety stops and emergency decompression procedures at altitude
• Calculating for nitrogen absorption
• Correction for gauge depth
• Physics and physiology of altitude diving
You use all the basic scuba gear.
The course fee does not includes the textbook.
